Creating memorable, affordable ceremonies since 2016.
About Me
Hi! I’m Rachael! I’m a Marriage Celebrant based in Melbourne.
I began my career as a celebrant early in 2016; studying while I was on maternity leave after having my second daughter.
I now have four beautiful children; three girls and a boy - which means that I currently can only take a limited number of weddings each month.
If you are hoping to have me as part of your day please enquire sooner rather than later!
I chose to become a marriage celebrant because I believe that your wedding day is one of the most incredible milestones that you will face in life, the day two people commit to each other in marriage and celebrate their love for each other is such a special occasion! …and I went to a lot of boring weddings for awesome people - which really gave me no choice but to take matters into my own hands!
Your wedding ceremony should be a memory you treasure forever, the start of your party, not the part you wish would hurry up so that you can celebrate!
Whether your day is one that you've chosen to celebrate intimately with just yourselves and witnesses; or chosen to share with 200 of your closest friends and family; I firmly believe that it deserves the same attention to detail from start to finish.
I write each of my ceremonies with the couple from scratch - because every couple has different wants and needs - and your ceremony should be exactly as you want it!
Wedding Services
Standard Ceremony
from $1300
My fee for a full standard ceremony begins at $1300, not inclusive of travel fees if your venue is more than 50km from my home.
This ceremony package includes:
An initial obligation free meeting, for us to meet so that you can decide if you feel that I am what you're looking for in a Celebrant.
This meeting is usually over Zoom - a quick opportunity to talk about your plans and what you both want from your wedding ceremony to make it as “you” as possible.
We will also discuss the legal documentation requirements; and legal elements that must be included during the ceremony.
If you choose me as your celebrant I will then follow up with a booking confirmation email, which includes your invoice and my service agreement.
After receiving your booking fee payment I will send you login details to the client portal on this page - where you’ll find plenty of inspo for your ceremony content.
We will meet again for a planning meeting - this meeting is usually face to face when possible - where we will further discuss your ceremony, your love, and just all things about you two in general!
At this meeting we will also lodge the first legally required document; the Notice of Intended Marriage. To this meeting I ask you to bring identification documents; but we will discuss what may be required in your circumstance before hand.
After this I get to work creating your ceremony and send you a full draft 2-4 weeks prior to your big day! I am always happy to discuss this further; in the lead up I will make sure to be easily contactable for any last minute questions!
On the day I perform your ceremony, using my own top of the range PA system; and present you with your commemorative Marriage Certificate.
After your ceremony I complete and lodge all legal paperwork as required, and as part of my process I apply to Births, Deaths and Marriages to obtain your Registered Marriage Certificate and have it sent directly to you, at no additional cost.
Also I shouldn’t need to say, but I do, I will always dress to an appropriate professional standard; no one wants me ruining their photos or matching their mother!
Legals Only
$450 - $550
Price varies from $450-$550 depending on day of the week you choose. This price is not inclusive of travel more than 50km from my home.
This intimate ceremony style suits couples as an alternative to a registry office ceremony; or also couples who wish to elope and marry with only two witnesses present.
Often registry style ceremonies are requested as a precursor for an overseas wedding which may not be legally recognised under Australian law; or by couples who don't want the expense of having a big wedding; they just want to be married.
My legals only services include:
An obligation free meeting to discuss what is required - documentation that needs to be completed and the legal elements of a marriage ceremony.
If you decide I am the right celebrant for your occasion I would then follow up this meeting with an email that includes your invoice and my service agreement.
After this we would have a follow up meeting; to complete your legal documents.
At this meeting I also need identification documents which I will discuss with you prior to ensure you know what is required.
During your ceremony I will present you with your commemorative Marriage Certificate - after the marriage couples may obtain their own Registered Marriage Certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages, or I can do so for an additional $100 fee.
After your ceremony I complete and lodge all legal paperwork as required.
It can be that easy!!
